Youth E-Mentoring Program
Isuroon’s E-mentoring program allows East African youth from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas to connect with our mentors here at Isuroon. Isuroon has adapted its Youth Mentoring Program to the current circumstances of COVID-19 by shifting the program to be entirely virtual. Our Youth Project Coordinators facilitate open discussions via Zoom which center around the topics that are relevant to East African youth such as micro-aggressions, mental health, how to navigate a virtual word, and others relevant to participants. The program strives to provide a space in which East African youth can connect to discuss, learn, and get the support they need from their peers and Isuroon’s mentors. Despite the conditions presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Isuroon continues to engage its youth in new and creative ways.
